Lishan Saliya Perera (born 3 July 1994) is a teenage novelist from Sri Lanka. ==Biography== An only child, Lishan Perera wrote his first short story at the age of six. In the next six years he penned numerous short stories and poems. In December 2006, Perera published his debut novel ''The Killer'', which was influenced by authors such as James Patterson and R.L. Stine, making him a published novelist at the age of twelve. In July 2007 Perera's second publication ''Time to Die'', an action thriller was released. His third novel ''Pure Evil'' was published a month later in August.〔 Perera's short story ''In the Hands of Fate'' was also selected to be published in a ''Daily News'' Anthology titled ''Nothing Grows Under the Banyan Tree'' in October 2007. In May 2008, Lishan was invited to speak as a panelist in a forum at the World Book Fair, about the trials and tribulations he had faced as a novelist.
